About Kingfisher Rentals
My wife, Jolie, and I started Kingfisher Rentals back in 2007 when we purchased the old Marina Motel and started the renovation process. We gave the building a face lift, a new roof, landscaped the outside, and built an incredible deck. We converted the motel to condominiums, and then began renovating the individual units. We are almost finished, but it’s taken us a while because we’ve done a lot of the work ourselves. My wife and I both have regular jobs, and our volunteer work and two teenage daughters keep us very busy. Plus, business has increased a lot, which is a great thing, but it slows down renovation process.

I’ve had the privilege of growing up in Cedar Key and working on the water most of my life. I come from a long line of commercial fishermen and continue that tradition as a clam farmer. People ask me lots of questions about clam farming so I thought I would include some pictures and a brief description below if you are interested.

It has been a neat experience watching the Kingfisher project come together. When we sold our first condominium unit it was the rewarding culmination of a lot of hard work. The other five units are for sale now, and we are preparing to set up a condominium association. We have also found a super manager, Pam, who runs the rental business for us. You will surely meet her when you come to visit.

We have a great life in Cedar Key and love for others to enjoy it too. Come see us!
